We're all familiar with the cliche's, "The proof is in the pudding" and "it all comes out in the wash." Whichever cliche you prefer, there is no doubt that we are a results driven society. This is certainly no exception where private education is concerned. Parents paying tuition to enroll their children at private institutions expect more, namely, a quality education that yields higher test scores and results in a wider range of opportunity. At Cary Christian School, the results are in, and the "pudding" tastes delightful!

On May 21, 2005 Cary Christian School graduated its first class of seniors. Although the class was small, this group of students - some of whom had been with the school since its inception ten years ago - was impressive. Of the ten Cary Christian School graduates, eight were accepted into their first-choice college.

In May of 2006, an additional fifteen students are slated to graduate and they, too, keep the academic bar high. Of the 25 seniors in the combined 2005 and 2006 graduating classes, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has commended 5 students; this is a 20% ratio! Commended students place among the top 5 percent of more than 1.3 million students who take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test each year.

Cary Christian School opened its doors in September of 1996. From its humble beginnings, the school has grown to 674 encompass students in grades K-12 and has recently moved onto a lovely 21-acre campus in the heart of Cary. Superintendent Larry Stephenson is quick to point out that "although the school has grown tremendously, the mission remains the same: to provide an excellent classical education founded upon a biblical worldview."

School founder and current board member Tim McClelland adds that "the vision goes beyond academic achievement. Our desire is to graduate young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who are capable of evaluating their entire range of experience in the light of Scripture."
